电影《来自深处的钟声》是一部有关俄罗斯西伯利亚宗教的纪录片，电影前半部分通过一位耶稣装扮的人和心理治疗师的布道表现对神和信仰的选择，后半部分讲到了陷落的科特兹城(the lost city of Kitezh)，讲的是蒙古人的军队攻来时市民祈求上帝的庇护，上帝听到他们的祈祷后，把城市置入湖中，但人们相信城市依然存在，听见来自湖底深处的钟声。而这里，逐渐这也成为了俄罗斯精神的存在。
