Ok, folks, this is my last Ishii upload. Totsugeki! Hakata gurentai is his first feature and last 8mm film. Haven't watched it yet myself, but from the looks of it, this is very much reminescent of eighties and nineties v-cinema, sort of like early Miike (only made in 1978). There is considerably more dialogue than in his earlier films, but it doesn't seem too complicated plotw...

在冈山县和兵库县之间边界的鬼首村，由良家和仁礼家两大家族相互对立。应冈山县警察局警部矶川常次郎的委托，金田一耕助（加藤成亮饰）来到了一家名为龟之汤的温泉旅馆。旅馆的女主人青池里佳（寺岛忍饰）在20年前的一场悲剧中失去了她的丈夫源次郎，但凶手恩田幾三至今仍下落不明。有一天，出身于鬼首村的人气歌手大空由加里返乡，就在全村为她的到来欢欣鼓舞之时，青池里佳的儿子歌名雄（小泷望饰）的未婚妻由良泰子被人发现死在了瀑布中……
